About The Blogger…

There is not much to tell. I fight between urges. The professional, the artist, the adventurer. I have found upon occasion the ability to combine the three. I just finished graduate school, earning my Masters of Public Administration as a compliment to my Bachelors degree in Recreation and Park Administration. I enjoy taking pictures, performing my folky songs to those who might listen, and playing outside to the tune of a variety of passions: climbing, backpacking, skiing, fly fishing, etc…

I grew up in the Kentucky woods, just across the Kentucky river from Daniel Boone’s original fort. I spent most of my life in Kentucky, but have also lived in Wyoming (Pinedale and Yellowstone), Utah (Zion), Colorado (Winter Park), and briefly California (Sequoia). My beautiful Jenn and I are nomads with a minivan that we travel around the country in to pursue the above listed passions. While we own a home in Berea, Kentucky, we are currently in Wyoming for a couple months to ski and play in the snow before heading to Zion where Jenn starts a full time job with the NPS in February.

While this blog may be fairly serious (which seems to be the case with most things so self-absorbed), I am a grade A goofball. I like hats. I would be a hipster but i hate tight pants and falsetto.  Thanks for stopping by.
