Snake River. Between Flagg Ranch and Yellowstone. Home of big cuttys and the griz.

Enjoying Winter’s Hush. Yellowstone. Jan 2013.

Gratuitous Picture of Yourself next to a National Park Service Sign #GPOYNTANPSS??

Skied from Flagg Ranch up to the South Entrance of Yellowstone to see some friends and visit the park in winter. Here’s the fishing hole on the Snake River that I visited almost daily this past summer. It was a balmy 28 degrees and mostly sunny, as perfect as Yellowstone can get in January.

A cold sunset to mark the end of 2012. Fremont Lake. My after work commute.

It has been a great year by all accounts. Maintaining old friendships, forging new friendships, finishing graduate school, a summer working as a ranger (read: fishing) in Yellowstone National Park, and Jenn landing a full time job in Zion starting in 2013. Finishing it off right in Wyoming with old friends and a cold world of white. Much love to all of you. Whether your 2012 was great or awful, I hope you have a better 2013. Love, Live, and Be, Well.

You don’t need to be a wealthy donor to help protect the greater Yellowstone ecosystem, simply go here and cast your vote for the video above. A simple vote helps to ensure the land around the Yellowstone River and it’s native Yellowstone Cutthroat, Moose, waterfowl, and other wildlife are protected for years to come. But hurry, voting ends today!

While this is an awesome picture, it makes me sad. Now, at least on most days,  you’d be hard pressed to catch this many fish on the Yellowstone.  Here’s a video from the Yellowstone Park Foundation on Saving the Cutthroat. As the cutthroat go, so goes the ecosystem.

Wyoming Fishing Adventures. Summer 2012.

I don’t do much video stuff (as will be obvious as you watch), but we shot enough shaky fishing video this summer to merit a little moving picture show. You will note we don’t shoot much video of actually netting fish. may need to fix that. Enjoy the show.

I have some new followers of late and that’s way cool. Thanks for coming on board. I just finished my summer park rangering in Yellowstone and still have a few copies of my album up for grabs FREE at my website, a promotion I started on my birthday a month or so ago.

Not that I put myself in any way on the level of those guys.

Slough Creek Cutty. Yellowstone National Park. Wyoming. Summer 2012.

Was a great summer in the park, but now work is done and it’s back to one more semester of grad school. Come on December. I’m ready to be done.
